THE SEARCH FOR GRIZZLY ADAMS CONTINUES
9:00 AM
NE Corner of Bucks Bar & Mt. Aukum
Somerset

Take Hwy 50 to Missouri Flat Rd & turn E on Pleasant Valley Rd., (R) on Buck’s Bar to the intersection of Bucks Bar & Mt. Aukum Rd. in Somerset. Park in the dirt lot on the NE corner. We really did see a bear on a previous ride. The search begins as we head up to Grizzly Flat, (no services) and beyond. After about 30 miles and 4000ft of climbing, we’ll reach Pipi campground that has water and outhouses. This ride does have some short steep climbs of 16-20%, and overall about 5700ft of climbing, so bring your uphill bike. Route descends Omo Ranch and Fairplay. A reminder….this ride is in the wilderness, no cell phone reception, and no services. Don’t underestimate the need for water and food, you’ll want it and you’ll need it. Store on route at mile 53.
