The park is on Main Street just west of Hwy 49 in Plymouth, about an hour driving time from Sacramento. Parking is available on nearby side streets. We will ride through the lovely wine country of Amador County. Enjoy the rolling hills around Ione and Lake Camanche (long ride). Rest stops in Buena Vista and Ione. 1,700 feet to 3, 500 feet of climbing. Several places to eat after ride. Rain cancels. A Groupo Ride.

It’s time for a picnic! Come out and join the fun. We’ll start with a 40+/- mile local ride, including a shorter option, then come back and enjoy some great food and relaxation. The club will provide hamburgers, bratwurst, sodas, beer, and paper plates and utensils. Bring a dish to share.
We will be using the Loomis Horsemen’s Park Pavilion area (same as last year). The park is located on the south side of King Rd. between Penryn Rd. and Hwy 80. From Sac, take I-80 East, exit Penryn Rd. South, then R. on King Rd. and the park is on the L (South) side of the road.
The ride will start at 9:00 and I would like to take a group photo before we depart. Please wear your Wheelmen Club jersey, if you want to be in the photo. Non-riders can come at 11:00.

The ride wanders through El Dorado Hills with a lot of rollers and significant hills to climb. Definitely not for beginners. It continues to Iron Point and loops clockwise around Lake Natoma with a return through Folsom back to EDH Park & Ride. Rain cancels.

Pedal along the scenic roads of Mendocino County, through grape vineyards and pear orchards. Enjoy breathtaking views and the changing colors of the harvest season. Options include a 100 mile loop to Boonville, 62 mile out and back through Redwood Valley, 31 mile route to Talmage and City of Ten Thousand Buddhas, and an 11 mile route. Costs are $40 for the Century and Metric Century, $35 for the 50K, $20 for the 18K. Check in opens at 7:30 AM. A weekend of riding thru beautiful rolling hills, vineyards, and the Pacific Coast. Organized group rides will take place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (October 13, 14, & 15). Many other optional routes will be available. A block of rooms will be held until Sept. 12th at the Adelaide Inn (805-238-2770) or the Black Oak Best Western (805-238-4740). Choose a ride from 5 related easy, flat routes with very little traffic, heading West along the American River Parkway Bike Trail to the Davis In-N-Out Burger, and return. Or, choose a ride from 6 related Sierra Foothills routes heading East. One route has 6,250 foot climb, 4 routes circumnavigate Folsom Lake counter clockwise, 2 circumvent the canyon, 5 go to the Auburn In-N-Out Burger, and all return.
