Ride the Butterfield Stage Route – the roads John Butterfield and his Butterfield Overland Express Company used to deliver the mail before the Pony Express – along with the best of Orange, Riverside, and San Diego Counties. California’s premiere stage route travels along the coast to Oceanside, then proceeds inland along the San Luis Rey River.
