New Charity Ride Program
The Sacramento Wheelmen will support ten riders for the Multiple Sclerosis “Waves to Wine“ two day tour on September 13-14,2008, starting in San Francisco and ending in Sonoma County. The Wheelmen will cover $50 dollars for each member towards entry fees and the start of the money each rider needs to raise for the charitable donation required by the ride. Raising funds for the rides are easy, just ask all your friends who have asked you to support them for their charity walks and marathons. This is an opportunity for the public to get to know us while we do good things for our community and beyond
The mechanics of the rides are as follows:
- Go to the web site for the MS Waves to Wine ride and check out the rides and requirements. The MS ride is 75 miles a day.
- Sign up online as a member of the Sacramento Wheelmen team.
- Send a copy of your registration form to Francisco Prieto (contact at prietof@sutterhealth.org) and we will arrange for the club to reimburse the first 10 riders for each ride $50.
- The day of the ride, wear your Wheelmen jersey and sign in like any century or club ride and you will receive club mileage.
It's as simple as that. So come on out and support a good cause, help increase awareness of the Sacramento Wheelmen Bike club and enjoy a good ride. |
